Liquid Embolic System MENOX

We are glad to inform you about the receipt of the registration certificate for the Menox liquid embolization System from Meril Life Science 

Menox is a liquid embolic system designed for preoperative embolization of arteriovenous malformations of the brain (AVM). 

Liquid Menox consists of: 

• A mixture of ethylene vinyl alcohol (EVOH) copolymer dissolved in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). 
• Micronized tantalum powder suspended in a mixture of liquid polymer and DMSO 

Advantages: 

• Unlike glue, Menox forms a cohesive, not an adhesive embolus
• Suspended micronized tantalum powder provides fluoroscopic imaging
• DMSO diffuses rapidly upon contact with blood, causing the deposition of a soft radiopaque embolus in place
